The Home Dialysis Central website includes an up-to-date searchable database of every dialysis center in the United States (and its territories) that is currently training patients to do PD and/or hemodialysis at home.
The database was created specifically for Home Dialysis Central and is the only online source of active home dialysis programs. Patients—and others—can search the database to find a home program that meets their needs. The database has two types of listings:
Basic listing
Every dialysis center with an active home program is automatically included and displays the following information:
- Center name
- Address
- Phone and fax numbers
- Owner
- Home treatments offered
Premier listing
Centers can choose to enhance their listing with more detailed information and a photo. A premier listing displays everything for a basic listing and, at your discretion, the following additional information:
- Link to center's website
- Contact name
- Contact e-mail address
- Medical director's name
- Number of patients for each home treatment offered
- Number of home training staff
- Hours of operation
- Free parking availability
- Ability to accept traveling patients
- Color background
- 300-word description of the program
- Photo of the center, staff, or patients
Why create a premier listing?
Creating a premier listing will help you:
- Attract new patients and expand your program by highlighting your accomplishments and services. (Patients have moved across the country to get the treatment they want.)
- Recruit high-quality staff by calling attention to your center listing.
- Help promote increased awareness and use of home dialysis therapies.
- Support availability of Home Dialysis Central as a renal community resource.
- Your contribution to create a listing is tax deductible.
Low cost, high impact
A premier listing costs only $480 per year—just $40 per month—and is tax deductible. You can arrange to pay in two installments, if necessary.
Where else can you reach an estimated 50,000 site visitors each month for such a low cost? Frequent news updates, active message boards, and links from our corporate sponsors help ensure repeat traffic so your listing will be seen. Traffic to the site has increased three-fold since launch, and thousands of visitors have downloaded the coverage maps from our database.
If your program attracts even one new patient as a result of your Premier Listing, you will recoup the cost over just 5 treatments with the 80% Medicare reimbursement alone—sooner if the patient has a commercial payer.
NOTE: Corporate sponsors (annual donations of $5,000 or more) are entitled to two Premier Listings for each $1,000 donated. If you have several home dialysis programs to profile, corporate sponsorship may be a better value for you.
