The Abdominal Catheter Control Elastic Support System (ACCESS) was originally designed in 1998 to alleviate the unnecessary side effects a PD patient was experiencing from using tape to secure the catheter; the patient was also experiencing emotional anxiety and loss of self esteem from the obvious protrusion from the connector to the catheter. With the alleviation of the irritation to the abdominal area it was obvious that ACCESS was needed for all PD patients.

ACCESS is available in two stretchable fabrics and is custom fitted to maximize patient comfort. The cotton blend fabric is soft to the touch and the nylon fabric has the absorbent properties of a bathing suit to ideally support the catheter during showering.

Use of ACCESS discreetly insures stability of the catheter from the exit site to the connector, reduces the potential of exit site infection, and is doctor-recommended.

Zippers are strategically placed in heavyweight cotton and polyester sweatshirts, sweatpants, and fleece jackets to afford dialysis patients and their nurses ease in accessing the arteriovenous fistula, graft, or permcatheter used during hemodialysis.

The 50% cotton/50% polyester sweatshirts have molded plastic zippers which can be located in either the right or left arm, shoulder to cuff, to make the AV fistula or graft readily available to the nurse. Also available are 50% cotton/50% polyester sweatshirts with zippers across the chest which open at either end to make access to permanent catheters easy, and afford the patient significant privacy during treatment. Sweatpants made of the same heavyweight 50% cotton/50% polyester fabric can have 12-inch zippers placed in the upper left or upper right thigh area for patients with leg accesses.
