More choose home therapies after options education

Among 986 WellBound patients who were educated about dialysis options, 45.8% chose a home treatment (vs. less than 8% nationwide). PD was chosen by 79.2% and home HD by 20.8%. The results of this new study confirm the vital role of education to help people with kidney failure choose treatments to best suit their lifestyles.

C-reactive protein may help identify those at greater risk of post-peritonitis problems
