The non-profit MEI is offering our comments on the Conditions for Coverage for Dialysis Facilities, which focus on patient rights, rehab and measurement of physical & mental functioning, and home dialysis. New Kidney Care Quality and Improvement Act of 2005 needs sponsors!

HR 1298/S 635 would expand public, CKD patient, and dialysis education; create an annual update for dialysis payments; fund an outcomes demo project; establish uniform training for patient care techs; research barriers to home dialysis; and create an ESRD advisory committee for the CMS Director. This bill needs sponsors! Write your representative today!
