About these data
- The data we collect for our database on home dialysis clinics are entirely new and not from Medicare. Our sponsors give us their updated clinic information and we call independent clinics to verify which treatments they offer.
A picture is worth a thousand words! We've created these handy hemodialysis coverage maps to show you where each of the five types of home dialysis is offered throughout the United States. Each site of care has a 120-mile radius—roughly a 2-hour drive—around it.
How are these maps generated?
Each map is generated based on the data in our database, and is now updated each month. When a new clinic is added, a circle will appear around the zip code of that clinic. (If your clinic isn't listed in our database, then it won't appear on this map. Add your clinic here.)
Patients and family members: see which clinics to use. A home dialysis clinic doesn't have to be around the corner, because once training is done, you only need to visit once a month.
Dialysis providers: identify gaps in coverage, and make a business case for a new treatment or new clinic.
Researchers: these maps document U.S. home dialysis coverage as of the indicated date. Contact us to request permission to use the maps in slides or papers.
